Abstract: Based on a survey of the contemporary young and middle-aged calligraphers’artistic creation, this paper is going to sort out the basic situation and characteristics of thecalligraphy circle as well as its wide-spread problems, and then offer some countermeasures so as to make clear the social and cultural environment, the aesthetic pursuit, the spirit of Chinese aesthetic education, and many other aspects of today’s calligraphy world. Through this philosophical thinking about calligraphy art, this paper aims at achieving creative transformation and innovative development for calligraphy, and thus accomplishing the grand task for all calligraphers in this great era.
