Abstract: In the era of data explosion, the public still cannot catch all the information against the all-around information dissemination. While ignoring the information that they are not interested in, the public would like to pay more attention to the information field deemed “desirable” to them. With the improvement of information processing and pushing technology, users fall into the “information cocoons” dominated by the big data technology. Over time, users can only receive the information catering to their own preferences, shackling themselves to an information cocoon like a silkworm one. Consequently, their outlook is narrowed and an all-round development out of question, which is in some sense harmful to their life. This paper is about to, in a descriptive mode, introduce, analyze, and probe into the information cocoon by means of posters and video installation, and aiming at presenting visually the information cocoon to make people aware that this is a problem for us all, so everyone of us should givereflection on it.
