Abstract:The Kutani ware is a kind of on-graze painting ceramic originated from IshikawaAkira, Japan. Because of its predominant quality and unique feature, the Kutani ware mightwell represent the highest achievement of Japanese ceramic art, for which it has gainedworldwide fame since the Meiji era. Apparently, the Japanese Kutani ware was originatedfrom and developed upon the Chinese ceramic culture, whose influence is engraved on thesimulation and transformation of the Kutani ware in terms of its ornaments, colors,composition, painting subjects, and other aspects. Apart from further enhancement of ourexchange and cooperation with the Japanese counterpart, Chinese ceramic industry is alsosupposed to strengthen the reference to and assimilation of other countries’ successfulexperience in related areas, and never stop from innovation, so as to further promote thisindustry with rich Chinese characteristics to the world.
