Abstract:Afterfivearchaeologicalexcavations,alargenumberofexquisitejadewares havebeen unearthedatthe Lingjiatanrelics site which was thrived over5000yearsago.Thesejadewaresare uniqueinshapeand rich inconnotation, making themselves outstanding representatives ofChineseNeolithicjadearticrafts. Amongthem,thejadeturtle,jade plate, jade label, jade eagle,jadepig,jade statue,jade dragon,jade Huang,andother representativejadeobjects, inparticular,arecloselyrelated tothe ancient divinationand cosmology.Inthiscase,theypossess highresearchvalues in the artistic, religiousand scientific studies,andhave thusattractedwide attentionfromtheacademiccircles.Basedon thediscoveryprocessandthe generalcharacteristicsofthe Lingjiatan jadewares,along withmultiple researchfindings,thispaperaims atprovidinga comprehensive interpretationoftheculturalconnotations ofthe representativejadeobjects from theLingjiatanrelics site, so as to pave thewayfor future research works.
